Armin Weinberger is head of the department. Formerly, he was Associate Professor at the Department of Instructional Technology, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, University of Twente, the Netherlands. He was lecturer and research fellow at the University of Munich, the University of Tübingen, and the Knowledge Media Research Center, Germany. His main research interests are educational technology, technology-enhanced learning, computer-supported collaboration scripts, argumentative knowledge construction, cross-cultural education, knowledge convergence, and methodological issues in small group learning. |

Lara Kataja is a research assistant in the EduTech department and started her PhD studies in 2015. Her background is in Psychology (B.Sc., 2012) and Educational Technology (M.Sc., 2015). The focus of her current research is in investigating and supporting collaborative learning with a shared multi-touch device (e.g., a tablet). In October 2018, she joined the ‘PIAF’ Erasmus+ project about the topic ‘computational thinking’. Furthermore, Lara is responsible for the study coordination in the EduTech master program, and teaches research methods courses. |

Thomas Puhl has a Master’s degree in Education and worked between 2002 and 2008 in several research projects at Saarland University. He joined the department of EduTech in 2010. His focus of research is Fostering Argumentation in Social Network Services with Scripts and Group Awareness Tools. He is also responsible for administration at the department of EduTech. |
